About the event

Gaelic Song Class for Adults with Margaret Stewart

Always wanted to join in at singing sessions but didn’t know the words? If you have some Gaelic, this informal and friendly class is for you.

No performance experience is needed, and no solo ambitions are required.

Over six weeks, you’ll learn a selection of songs in depth — including words, melody, and context — and gain the confidence to hold your own at a session or cèilidh.

This class forms part of the launch of Sgoil-Chiùil Steòrnabhaigh / Stornoway School of Traditional Music, a new traditional music school in Stornoway.

Classes begin on Monday 11th May and run every Monday for 6 weeks, from 7:00–8:00 pm.
