We want you to experience the best products and services from An Taigh Cèilidh. It is important to us that you receive the products you purchase from us in a timely manner. However, please bear in mind that An Taigh Cèilidh is located on the Isle of Lewis, which is not considered part of “Mainland UK”, and there may therefore be additional delays and additional carriage costs.

We send orders to the address that you provide with Royal Mail. All orders are sent by standard Second Class. All orders (excluding commissions and wholesale orders) will be dispatched within 1–2 working days.

Due to the Isles of Lewis’s reliance on ferry and air services for connections to the Mainland UK, there may be delays to your delivery. These delays will also affect deliveries to Overseas addresses. These delays are outwith An Taigh Cèilidh’s control. The most frequent cause of disruption to services are unfavourable weather conditions, but, for more information about the whereabouts of your delivery, you will need to contact Royal Mail. If you are at all concerned about the reliability of delivery, you can request for additional cost that An Taigh Cèilidh send the order by special delivery, which will be tracked by Royal Mail. Contact for this option and we will advise you of the additional cost once we have received a quote for the special delivery from our local Post Office in Stornoway.

If a delay to your delivery is within our control, we will notify you immediately and offer you solutions, such as refund or alternative product where available.

We also cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by delivery services. If a product appears damaged, and you have a reason to believe that the damage was caused before delivery, please read our Terms of Sale and contact

If you would like to provide specific instructions for delivery, you will need to contact your local delivery service (such as Royal Mail in the United Kingdom). An Taigh Cèilidh cannot be held responsible should there by any issues with delivery (such as product going missing or damage to the product) in the event that you have given specific to your local delivery service, and you should contact your local delivery service.
